First scientific publication supported by HarvRESt released
The HarvRESt project is pleased to announce its first scientific publication, marking an important milestone in the project’s contribution to advancing renewable energy solutions for sustainable agriculture in Europe.
The paper, titled “Wind Reference Year: A New Approach”, presents a novel methodology for generating representative wind datasets (Wind Reference Year – WRY), addressing the challenge of limited long-term measurement data. The study combines advanced statistical modelling techniques with reanalysis data and regression-based methods to improve the reliability of wind resource assessment.
By enhancing the accuracy of wind data used in simulations and planning, the research supports more informed development and integration of renewable energy systems, including applications relevant to the agricultural sector.
