HarvRESt Showcased at Vinitaly
Last month our project partner Confagricoltura presented the HarvRESt project at their stand during Vinitaly - one of Europe’s leading events for the wine industry. The event gathered farmers and wine sector operators and provided an important opportunity to share best practices and discuss the role of solar energy in promoting sustainability in the wine sector. It was also a chance to raise awareness about the activities that have been carried out and those that will be implemented in the Italian Use Case.
More specifically, the Italian Use Case is an example of how solar energy can be successfully applied in the wine sector to support more sustainable production.
By adopting solar energy systems, wineries reduced their reliance on conventional energy sources and improved overall energy efficiency.
This approach highlights the potential of renewable energy to drive innovation and environmental responsibility in viticulture.
“Holding the event at a major fair like Vinitaly was a key success factor, says Leonardo Brachetti, Project Manager at Confagricoltura and adds:
“It provided high visibility, attracted a large and relevant audience, and created a strong platform to share our message. Some participants also mentioned that they appreciated the integration of solar energy in the wine sector and expressed interest in learning more about the potential for renewable energy in their own operations.”
